A buzzing, festive atmosphere, fabulous presentation, food gorgeous from Ruth, all on real crockery in a park like setting with plenty of shade under the mature trees.

2010 Ata Rangi Sauvignon Blanc, 2009 Ata Rangi Craighall Chardonnay, 2009 Ata Rangi Crimson Pinot Noir* (*Crimson is our younger vines Pinot Noir produced in support of charitable conservation trust Project Crimson), 2008 Ata Rangi Pinot Noir, 2008 Ata Rangi Celebre (Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet) , 2010 Ata Rangi Kahu Dessert Riesling.

Menu Examples for 2010 are:

  • West Coast Whitebait Fritter or Corn Herb and Roasted Red Pepper Fritter each with Asparagus and Hollandaise Sauce (gluten free available on request)
  • Steak and Kidney Pie or Coq Au Vin Pie or Roasted Mushroom and Lemon Thyme Pie, each with Ruth Pretty Chutneys and accompanied by Iceberg  and Rocket Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing
  • Sauteed Paua with Salsa Verde and Baked Marabel Jacket Potato (gluten free)
  • The ACME Pork Sausage in Flat Bread with Ruth Pretty Tomato Chilli Jam
  • Leg Ham and Swiss Cheese Roll or Caramelised Onion, Parsnip Crisps and Swiss Cheese Roll, each with Mustard Mayo

2010 Entertainment:

Don McGlashan, singer/songwriter of legendary band The Mutton Birds, is just one of our featured artists this year! There's also funky, up-beat entertainment (Rock to Jazz and back again) from the five multitalented Nairobi Trio boys and, with her sexy vocals and keyboard magic, gorgeous powerhouse Elizabeth Braggins rounds out the perfect day under the trees at Ata Rangi.
