2010 Toast at Vynfields

A sensory delight of fine wine, food and music Vynfields  are the only organic winery at the event with two Martinborough restaurants; Café Medici and Brasserie One.  Both Barry and Nick from the Warratahs live in the Wairarapa and complete the package of Martinborough wine, food and entertainment.

2010 Pinot Rosé, 2010 Dry Riesling, 2010 Classic Riesling, 2008 Mad Rooster, 2009 Pinot Noir, 2009 Reserve Pinot Noir

Menu Examples for 2010 are:

  • Osso Buco - Braised shin beef in a rich Italian style with Herb Crusted Roasted Potatoes
  • Italian Pork & Fennel Sausage - Chargrilled and served in a Pave Loaf with bitter Italian Greens.
  • Spicy Italian Marinated Lamb - On Rosemary Stalks and finished with a Mint Salsa
  • Penne Pasta - Tossed with herb Roasted Pumpkin, Walnuts, wild Greens & Pecorino
  • Chargrilled Marinated Prawns - With Garlic,Chilli & Basil on Rosemary Stalks
  • Home made Gelato - Chocolate, Vanilla or Berry
  • Tiramisu - Sponge Fingers soaked in coffee, layered with Mascarpone & Chocolate

12:30 - 3:30pm Waratahs - Sing and dance with the ever popular Waratahs; country rock with Barry Saunders on vocals and Nik Brown on fiddle and mandolin - ably supported by Sid, Alan and Mo
10:30 - 12:30pm and 3:30 - 5:30pm The Shenanigans - Swing to the Irish/Celtic rock with Justin, Jane, Clinton and Maurice
