New Zealand music icon Sir Dave Dobbyn has been announced as the headline act for Toast Martinborough 2026, leading a stellar entertainment line-up that also features crowd favourites Sweet Mix Kids and The Beat Girls.

The announcement marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for one of New Zealand’s most celebrated wine, food and music festivals. Toast Martinborough is unveiling a refreshed format for 2026 now hosted exclusively at The Runholder.

Designed to enhance the visitor experience while continuing to showcase the best of the region, the new festival will welcome back eight neighbouring vineyards from the Martinborough wine village, local craft gin and locally brewed beer. Alongside outstanding cuisine, unique hospitality and crowd favourites on stage, the festival will continue to be a staple of the national events calendar.

Additionally, an exclusive VIP lounge will be hosted in the Runholder Cottage, offering all-inclusive elegant cuisine, fine wines, gin cocktails, private bathrooms and superior sightlines to the stage for those wishing to elevate their day.

Sir Dave Dobbyn’s appearance brings one of the country’s most enduring and beloved performers to the heart of Martinborough. With a career spanning more than four decades and a catalogue of songs that have become part of New Zealand’s cultural fabric, his performance promises to be a highlight of the event.

Joining him on the entertainment programme will be Sweet Mix Kids and The Beat Girls, whose high-energy performances and extensive repertoire will keep festival-goers dancing and singing along throughout the day.
